Perfect Poets

Blimey- Year Five have been writing the most extraordinary poems after looking at the work of Gez Walsh,Pie Corbett and many more. We have even found out a competition that we can enter.

Earned plenty of money

Perfect poets

James Nash, world famous poet and writer, came in on Friday 9th March for an assembly with Key Stage 2. He presented some Year 5 and 6 children with a published anthology of the poetry from some previous sessions. James had shown the children some really wacky wierd and wonderful objects, which were then turned into some of the most fabulous poems.

Vincent Van Gogh

Our art this week in school was magnificent- our own interpretation of Vincent's famous work "14 sunflowers". Can you find any other work by him on the internet to show us?
Have a look! My favourite is Starry Night- I love the combination of colours and the texture of the oil paints really add to the feel of the picture. Can you tell me your favourite and why?
